Data Processing Information for the Newsletter of the Priority Area 8 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region

The Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We have therefore taken measures to ensure that we observe the regulations concerning data protection.

What kind of personal data do we collect and where does this data come from?

The categories of personal data that we process include the following:

  • Personal identification information (such as first name, last name, name of the organisation, place name of the organisation),
  • Contact details (e-mail address),

Your personal data will be collected when you sign up for the newsletter of the Priority Area 8 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

For what purposes and on what legal basis is data processed?

We process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the State Data Protection Act (LDSG).

We use your personal data to send you our newsletter and to inform you about topics related to Priority Area 8 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. The legal basis for processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) and Art. 7 GDPR.

We will use your personal data exclusively to send you our newsletter. After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us. The newsletter will be sent to you periodically. Your data will be stored in an electronic newsletter system for the duration of the subscription.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link at the end of the newsletter. In addition, you have the right of withdrawal at any time.

Should we wish to process your personal data for a purpose not mentioned above, we will inform you of this in advance.

For how long will your data be stored?

We delete your personal data as soon as it is no longer necessary for the above purposes and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory storage requirements. In addition, your data will be deleted if you exercise your right of withdrawal or objection. We ensure deletion through a deletion concept with regular checks of the datasets.

Who receives your data?

Within the above-mentioned Ministry, only those persons and positions (department representatives, etc.) receive your personal data, who require it to fulfil the tasks that fall within the Ministry's area of responsibility.

Within the scope of sending the newsletter, we use service providers to process orders, especially for the provision, maintenance and care of IT systems. When selecting our service providers, we pay strict attention to ensure that they also comply with statutory data protection provisions.

Your data may be transmitted to the relevant supervisory and auditing authorities for the purpose of exercising the respective control rights.

Which rights can you assert as a data subject?

You have the rights under Art. 15 - 21 GDPR:

  • The right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • The right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • The right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

Right of withdrawal

If we process your data on the basis of a declaration of consent, you have the right at any time to withdraw this consent with future effect. The legality of the data processing which took place between consent and withdrawal of consent remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object

If we process your data on the basis of Section 4 LDSG (State Data Protection Act) in connection with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. e) GDPR, you may object to this processing for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is intended to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Will your data be transferred to a third country?

In principle, the provision of your personal data is neither required by law nor contractually prescribed. You are not obligated to provide us with your personal data. If the data is not provided, it will not be possible to send the newsletter.

To what extent do automated individual decision-making or profiling measures occur?

We do not use entirely automated processing to make a decision.
